August 2016 – Ceremonial First Blocks at Gilberto Siles School
August 4th was a monumental occasion for the students at the Gilberto Siles School in Masaya, Nicaragua. The entire students population, teachers and parents were on hand for the first blocks ceremony at the school.
The Union of Solicitor General Employees have generously funded one classroom for this impoverished community. Their entire membership feels strongly that education can break the cycle of poverty for these students.
The students put on an amazing welcoming program for the SchoolBOX staff and cheered uncontrollably while they stood on the building site.
In September, the students will have a new safe and secure classroom that will replace their current makeshift shack built out of metal and wood.
Thanks so much to USGE for their generous support and believing in the students at the Gilberto Siles School.

Thanks to USGE from the entire community!
