December 2016 – Equator Coffee volunteers back from building Gracias a Dios School
A group of 11 volunteers, including three of our wonderful SchoolBOX Board Members, just returned last week from a trip to build a new classroom at Gracias a Dios School in the mountains of San Juan Del Rio Coco. The school community was very touched by the love shown to their children by the Equator volunteers, and by the generosity of Equator Coffee Roasters who funded the new classroom.
In addition to building the new classroom, the group was also able to experience the coffee harvest season and experience the impact that fair trade coffee has on Nicaraguan coffee farmers.
We would like to thank Amber and Craig Hall of Equator Coffee Roasters for their incredible heart for the children of Nicaragua and their support since the beginning of SchoolBOX’s mission to ‘Make Education Possible’.
