June 2016 – Welcoming Parker
SchoolBOX is so excited to welcome Parker Armstrong to our team in Nicaragua. Parker is an engineering student at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada and will be an engineering intern with SchoolBOX for the next two months.
SchoolBOX is so happy to have Parker help our construction team with his expertise and enthusiasm. SchoolBOX also helps that Parker is able to gain valuable experience through his internship.
Parker has previously volunteered with SchoolBOX twice, having helped build the La Pintora School in 2014 and the Brett #4 School in 2015. He absolutely fell in love with Nicaragua and its people and had to come back!
Parker and six of his closest friends in Canada have joined forced to run many fundraising events to help raise enough money to build a classroom. If you would like to learn more about their group and their fundraising events, click here to access their Facebook Group.
