August 2015 – Soccer Dreams Training Sessions
This year, SchoolBOX is conducting two soccer training sessions at each school participating in the Soccer Dreams tournaments. During these sessions, children learn the importance of fair play, team work, school spirit and the basic rules of soccer. They take part in soccer drills and learn about the importance of staying in school and why physical education is important.
During these training sessions, the SchoolBOX team works with the school administration to select the Soccer Dreams team comprised of 5 girls and 5 boys. Each student selected must be well behaved and an example to other students, while maintaining good grades and a good attendance record.
The students absolutely love these training sessions and it gives the SchoolBOX team an opportunity several more opportunities to encourage students to stay in school and to develop better relationships with the community.
