December 2015 – Breaking Ground on Classroom #75
SchoolBOX recently broke ground on its 75th classroom in Nicaragua at the Marvin Salazar School. The entire community was out in full force as Ronald Chavarria and members of the Ministry of Education laid in the ceremonial first brick.
The municipality has already built two classrooms for this growing community and SchoolBOX is working to construct two additional classrooms.
Previously, students were learning in borrowed rooms and a church that was under construction that only had three walls. When it rained, they were completely drenched and when it was dry, they were covered in dust.
The students, teachers and parents are so excited for these two classrooms to be completed in time for the new school year!
