January 2018 – 97th classroom at La Sabana soon to be complete

Students, teachers, parents and community members gathered together on December 21st to lay the first blocks at La Sabana classroom. The kids were full of smiles and giggles, and the teachers were full of hope that they would soon be able to give classes in a big, bright and structurally sound new classroom. The previous classroom at La Sabana School was dark, crumbling, and very structurally unsound. The community was worried that soon the building would not be fit for use, and their kids would have no where to study. That is why our SchoolBOX construction crew is working hard to complete the new classroom in the next few weeks, and have it ready to be inaugurated before the children return back from their winter holiday break.

Many thanks to the Acts of Grace Foundation, who generously funded this project, and who believes wholeheartedly in our mission to break the cycle of poverty by giving children access to a basic education.
