June 2017 – Video exchange with Marvin Salazar School
The students at Marvin Salazar School in Nicaragua took part in a video exchange this week with the grade 5 and 6 students of Bishop Francis Allen School in Brampton, Ontario. The BFA students filmed themselves talking about what life is like for children in Canada, and what they do in a typical school day. Our SchoolBOX team then went to Marvin Salazar School to show this video to the eager Nicaraguan students, and give them the opportunity to create their reply!
We are so grateful to Rumeet Billan, who initiated this video exchange project, as well as to the students and teachers at Bishop Francisc Allen School. Thanks to your kindness and generosity, we were also able to equip the 190 children at Marvin Salazar with the school supplies they need to remain in school and graduate. Together, we can ‘Make Education Possible’ for so many boys and girls in Nicaragua.
